Seems quite ironic that the two threads that are running now are Fleshings
Gons and Dining Cars. If ever there were two cars on the Erie that would
never be coupled together, these are the two.

I missed the presentation on the Peter Cooper Glue Factory. I know ELHS
member John Benton has a lot of information on the subject, but he's not on
this list. There was also another young man (then) who joined the ELHS with
me at the convention in Lackawaxen in 1981 IIRC. (I won 8 doorprizes at that
convention!) I forget his name (Jim ????) but he now works for the Campbell
Soup Company. They are both from the Gowanda area. I believe he did the
presentation about 20 years later.

Attached is a hand-drawn sketch of the Peter Cooper trackage that John
Benton gave me. It was quite an operation.
