List,

Henry's post about the lost Village of Hidi reminded me of a clipping I had
about Campville, a village that was (is?) 17 miles west of Binghamtopn and 5
miles east of Owego. It was established circa late 1870's to feed and water
cattle on the Erie. It was foreclosed on in 1885, but had a depot. (see
attached news clipping) I am not familiar with the Binghamton area. Does
this village still exist, or any reference to it. A photo of the depot? And
why would a feed and watering station not be in Owego or Binghamton? Why
Campville?
