One place that still resembles the days of old is Suffern, New York. Witness Norfolk Southern's local arriving at the former EL yard located just west of town. Every track is filled with freight cars!
In the distance you can see the NJT layover yard, NY State Thruway overpass. Underneath was the former location of "SF" tower.
