Can anyone help identify this photo location? This photo was in a scrapbook at my firehouse in West Paterson (Woodland Park now), so I am 99% sure this fire took place in town, or the Totowa, Paterson area. Notice the structure suffered a fire; you can see the damage and the fireman overhauling the collapsed area of the building. It's still smoldering. What kind of industry was this? It sits on a sharp curve, so I am thinking it is located somewhere along the Lackawanna's Boonton line near the high bridge over the Passaic River? The industry has a siding and a running track along the two track mainline, but no cars spotted. So it may not be in operation or being served by the DL&W anymore.
The photo was shot from an overpass or hill, one other guess is the Valley Road overpass at Marshall Street just east of the former Paterson station? Just a thought. Like I said its in our fire dept. scrapbook, so its got to be our department, or VERY local.
Todd ~
