Well, I don't know about passable. Here's a little Sideloader 101: have a
look at the attached photos. There are two basic types of sideloaders: boom
and mast. In the former, the lift apparatus is attached to a pivoting boom;
in the latter, it's attached to a vertical frame. The Walthers model is
based on a mast-style prototype made by the Swedish company Kalmar. The best
I could do here was relocate the cab and hydraulic cylinders, and add the
trailer lift arms to make it resemble a Taylor "Big Red". Compare to my
machine with the EL logo, I guess we'll call it a "Big Yellow". Compare also
to the UP Piggypacker, a more massive machine with the signature triangular
boom. Taylor produced equipment used in ports and got into intermodal in
1970 with container machines for CN. The trailer equipment came later.

I thought it was one of the members on this list that took an already
available model and with some slight modifications made it into a passable
EL version??
