Chemung Valley RHS has Erie Stillwell 2125 stored at Susquehanna. Here is the most recent picture I have of it....next stop, Elmira.

Bill Young has updated his seminal work on the Stillwell cars, and we are preparing it for a DIAMOND article. The final disposition is so complex and convoluted that no one has ever published a list. We will try to include whatever comes over on this list or from any other source but remember -- there were 348 of them and they went in small batches, and some of them kept moving from owner to owner.

This list has discussed th Stillwell diaspora previously. A search of the list archive (look for "Stillwell") will give you some info, but by no means a complete list.

Considering their age, they ar probably fading fast.

After the Erie and the Erie Lackawanna, I was wondering if anyone ever compiled a list of the different railroads that purchased and operated the Erie's Stillwell passenger coaches. Does such a list exist? If not, can anyone help advise me what roadnames the Stillwells wore in later life? Roadnames, pictures, et al - anything would be both useful and of interest. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Sincerely,
Charles Smith
