Hello list;

As I mentioned yesterday, I visited with my friend Gary Pfiel last night for
a photo session on his NYC-themed layout. Though Gary's main influence is,
as mentioned, the NYC, he has several scenes of interest to EL modelers, and
also enjoys running a variety of motive power.

Attached are two photos. One is of Erie Berkshire 3397, a beautiful brass
model, exquisitely custom painted and weathered by EL-list member Blake
Tatar. The second photo is of Gary's scratchbuilt model based on the
well-known Boonton landmark industrial building, the Pilgrim & Meyer
(Packard) building that sits just adjacent to I-287. Gary has re-purposed it
as "Quinn Ball Bearings", and it is a major customer on his layout.

Gary also has modeled a curved short trestle scene, based upon the Dundee
trestle that was being discussed a number of weeks back. Alas, time ran
short last night, so I could not get any new shots of that scene; somewhere
I have photos taken during an earlier session and will endeavor to post them
as soon as I can find them in my archives.

I hope you enjoy the photos.

Jim Harr
