I am going to (try to) print out that neat station plan, and check it
against the model in the picture. I built the model in '62, while I was
stationed in Okinawa- for a year. The picture is from the railroad I had when we
lived in Nashville-'63-66.. Before I left for Oki,in Feb 62 (I left from
Dover on the EL Ltd) I took a bunch of pictures and made a whole batch of
pace-off measurements, from which I made drawings. The model is constructed of
heavy USMC posters, with H&R styrene brick sheet, cast metal windows and the
roof braces. The roof is Walthers roofing paper sheets--I have given some
thought (only) to re-doing the roof--we'll see! It has stood the test of
time well--it is currently serving as the Netcong-Stanhope station on my
DL&W.

About 1986 or so, I was in the Syracuse area on railroad business (out
hi-railing, or a "day in the country"), so I went to Cornell U.,and went up
where the glass plate collection was stored. This was after Bob Bahrs and
others had done some cataloguing ---I ordered a bunch of 8x10 prints--weren't
cheap, but well worth it--which I still have. These include several others
of the station area, in both directions. They'll likely eventually show up
on the list as Pat McK scans more of the plates.
As an aside, the railroad was half Lackawanna and half NYO&W---Netcong,
and Middletown---I still have the model of the M'town station--not full
size, but still about 3' long.
