Here's a different view of the scene in C0539. It's obviously from a different time frame based on the different crossing shanty and the missing buildings near the bridge. The road bridge was destroyed during the flood of 1955. I often walked across the foot bridge that was later built on its piers when we would visit my Uncle's house in the late 1970's.

If you look just to the left of the building attached to the bridge you can see the ironwork of the bridge that carried the Lehigh & New England across the Delaware at this point.
