"HAER air" - From the Library of Congress collection available online. Shows the Subway, the BR&P Salamanca Station (center) with their freight house just up-left, and the furniture factory beyond. A single remaining track to the freight house is visible. The bare ground just above the station was the location of the stub-end passenger tracks. Can you identify the (EL?) loco?

"Sal Early PCs" - a scan of two postards I have purchased. One is a "Birdseye view of Salamanca 1882" It looks roughly South, down main street. This view predates the "Subway" (now at the point where track shown cross main street). The existing Erie Station was not yet built, nor was the existing BR&P Salamanca Station. The other postcard view is ca.1910, showing the present Erie station, which replaced the old "Windsplitter" Station. I belive the larger background building to be the machine shop mentioned above.
