Jim & List,

Here is a more detailed and blown up version of the photo. More information
which may help is that in the distance, about a mile or so down the tracks,
is the first DL&W lift bridge over the Buffalo River. As many of you know,
if you continue on thru the Republic Steel Plant about another mile, you
come to the second DL&W lift bridge over the Buffalo River.

As I look at the box, it seems like it is a timer, dial or clock of some
sort. (I doubt an electric meter would be located here) It seems like a weak
"T" for "Telephone". Perhaps it is tied into the lift bridge for some reason
or the dwarf semaphore.
