"BobCollins_Waldwick75.jpg" - image/jpeg, 361x416 (24bit)

I thought I'd share two shots I came across after dusting off some old boxes of photos. One is of EL dispatcher Bob Collins (the late, great Bob Collins), out on railfan duty, standing on the curve east of Waldwick station on a Saturday afternoon, watching one of the 1975 Ridgewood town celebration trips with the Whippany River 148 rolling past (which I was riding at the time). The other is the late, great station agent Ron Wallace, hard at work one afternoon in the depot at Kingsland, NJ, circa 1974. You can see the mechanical adding machine, a dog-eared copy of the official rolling stock guide, two outside phones and a DS line phone, waybills and other paperwork in the slot rack, EL map on the wall behind Ron, empty bottle of soda on the desk. Looking back, I wish I had taken a lot more 'everyday' shots of EL people at work. Sorry about the photo quality (lack thereof), but I thought the memories might overcome the blur. Jim Gerofsky
