Subject: Erie in East Orange - Steamtown Image X0378
"East_Orange_Erie_sta_1930.jpg" - image/jpeg, 695x351 (24bit)

I think Bill Sheppard is right about photos X0376-X0378 being shot on the
Erie's West Orange Branch in East Orange. In photo X0377, if you scroll all
the way over to the right, you can see the station sign, "East Orange"
visible between the trestle track and the railings. In X0378, again by
scrolling to the extreme right, you can see the Orange Branch's
single-track main line, a corner of the East Orange platform and what is
undoubtedly the Prospect Street grade crossing. Also visible is a small
building, possibly a freight house, on the far side of the grade crossing.
That building shows up in a shot taken sixteen years later. It shows the
building west of Prospect Street and on the side of the track opposite the
station. Both photos appear to have been taken looking west.

Finally, again at the extreme right, visible down the right-of-way is what
appears to be a signal tower. I don't know the name or what it controlled.
A lot of detail in these photos. Thanks Pat!
