Thanks for your response. Here is the map. And the website where I
found it. Lot's of good stuff. So I am wondering did the Camp Shanks
spur break off and run parallel to the West Shore on the west side of Rte
303? Or did it branch off and cross what is now the PIP, (but wasn't back
then !)

As for Camp Shanks, the Erie Piermont Branch was a good distance further
out than the NYC/NYO&W on the West Shore Line. The spur, I believe, was
temporary and built during WWII. The PIP did not reach that far north
during that time. I am forwarding this also to the Erie Lackawanna list to
see if anyone has anything further to add.
