List,

This is indeed a great location for railfanning. Just over the Buffalo Creek
bridge, on your right, is the old Buffalo Color plant. All 43 acres of this
plant will become the Heritage Discovery Center, home to the Western New
York Railway Historical Society. It in cludes the old Buffalo Creek RR "Y"
and Prenat Street branch, the old DL&W bridge over all the tracks you see in
the photo, and over 130,000 sq ft of buildings. The whole area is being
enviormentally cleaned up by Honeywell Corporation and they have turned over
the first 18 acres to the WNYRHS two weeks ago.

Attached is an architect's rendering of the Power House building and part of
the property containing the buildings and the "Y". Also a photo of the
dignataries at the October 6th dedication. In the photo of the old Republic
property, the rail lines and bridges are at the top of the photo, along with
the old Buffalo Color property.

Also part of this plan is to purchase the old DL&W City Branch ROW to
downtown and consider the installation of a trolley line. In any case, we
expect to have the old DL&W bridge over all these tracks open to
railfanning.
