The Mt Pocono connection was for an ice house. I haven't gone thru the
WBE value maps yet in detail but believe this is the pertinent section

Subject: (erielack) WB&E Question

I was reviewing Robert Mowhowski's Book on the Susquehanna and came up
with an interesting question about the WB&E. When Walter Kidde broke
the ties between the WB&E and NYS&W, did the WB&E have any rolling stock
or motive power of its own? I know WB&E took immediate measures to file
for bankruptcy and then abandonment, but I assume the company continued
to operate for a period of time. In fact, weren't a couple fan trips run
over the line during this period? I realize that probably few of you go
back to that period but maybe somebody knows how the line continued
until the tracks were pulled up.

I have an aviation map from the 1950s that clearly shows the abandoned
line. It went through a lot of wilderness to get from Stroudsburg to
Wilkes-Barre. The map shows a connection to the Lackawanna around Mt.
Pocono, whatever that was for. If anyone is interested, I could scan
that portion of the map and put it up.
