I have all my Dads RR material, but he did NOT have a huge collection of RR
memorabilia. He did keep all his Time Books, ( which you see used here )
his ETT, a few odds ends, from which this one Train Order came. When I
compared the date to his Time Books, I found they were related. This is
what I think happened?

The Lackawanna used the 1650 as a protect engine for the move from P Burg
to Morristown as per the Train Order, and kept it with the train while it
was on display at Morristown, NJ. I think my dad was called as a hostler to
attend the engine or there was a second crew that was used to jockey the
train around while it was at Morristown. I'm leaning towards the first
scenario since he was on his own time ticket, and not with another member
of an engine crew, plus the first crew would have done all that unless out
of time, which doesn't sound logical either.

When I turned the page, 9 days later, the Freedom Train showed up again in
his time book. Apparently this time he took it from what I believe is
either Orange or Passaic to Secaucus or Kearny, possibly to give off to
the Erie or PRR? The Lackawanna's station numbering and what employee's (
Dad ) used in his time books often were the same, but not always. A very
short day indeed. O was always used for Hoboken/Jersey City, X-1 was
always Port Morris, but at this point in time, he was abbreviating Harr (
Harrison ) Sec( Secaucus ) and a few others.

I would be interested to hear if anyone would have any additional
information or thoughts on this.
