Did you happen to see this recent slide on Ebay ?

A beautiful scene of # 21 or 22 crossing Starrucca in October 1965. What
caught my interest is the silver BX car behind the 200 series Express
and I first thought maybe it's one of the NKP 40' BXs (which were
silver). After enlargement though and through the distortion you can
see it's one of the ex-Lackawanna Milk cars, now renumbered (10090 or
10091) in BX service.

The shiny fresh silver paint covers the panel welded over the opening
where the refrigeration unit was removed, along with the word 'MILK' and
'BP'. The new number is obscured by the tree branches. Given that this
is October '65 and the paint looks so fresh, I'd say this was very
likely 10091 which was converted (10-15-65). A nice close-up of the end
of one of these cars at Dearborn (and notice the Chrysler truck) can be
found here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/31038626@N07/3270905850.
There is more information on the cars in the Diamond (V.27, No.1, 2013).

The good news for modelers is that even if you don't happen to model the
Sussex Branch, you can still have these silver Lackawanna BXs in your EL
trains post-1965. (Who makes the Black Lackawanna decals and what about
the Chrysler trucks?)
