Subject: NYS&W caboose on EL?
"Switcher_with_NYS_W_0112_Great_Notch_NJ_-_7-76_-_Todd_Hollritt_.jpg" - image/jpeg, 62656 bytes, 769x453 (24bit)

Hi folks,

A question that's been on my mind for a while, and I keep forgetting to ask, is: What was the EL's relationship with the NYS&W at Croxton yard? I have two photos that shows the "caboose lineup" near KW, and there's an NYS&W caboose in the string. Huh? When the NYS&W came to do interchange, did they just put their hack on the string so they could switch, then pick it up on the way back to Little Ferry? Equally baffling is a Todd Hollritt photo (see attached) showing NYS&W caboose 0112 (trivia buffs: Today, this caboose is Morristown & Erie #4) on an EL work train at Great Notch, NJ. Huh? Was there some sort of agreement, or a short-term lease?
