Subject: Concrete ties on th EL ?
"concrete_ties.jpg" - image/jpeg, 960x720 (24bit)

While preparing a three mile section of the Erie main west of Marion for
paving (part of the hiking trail project), our contractor ran onto a section
which has concrete ties in place. Can anybody tell us if the EL had started
using concrete ties as common practice or was this a test section of some
sort? This would be between MP Marion 3.5 to MP Marion 6, a section which
was not used since 1976 and the rail pulled in 1984.

Thanks,
Rich Tubbs
