Another piece of an Erie Bond Record Map from 1896.

Among other interesting things, it clearly shows that the E&WV is not an
Erie property, and it shows the "orphan" Edgerton and Moosic Mountain and
Carbondale lines pretty clearly.

It also hints as to how anthracite traffic flowed -- the Erie pulled product
out of its properties to Susquehanna, then east and west from there;
anthracite off the Pennsylvania Coal Co properties went to Lackawaxen and
then east and west from there. In short, between Lackawaxen and Susquehanna,
trains hauling anthracite (and empties!) could and did pass each other going
in opposite directions.
