Mike and list,

Here is a photo of the train indicator lights as they appeared on track 14
for the Lake Cities. No lights were illuminated for that mainline
departure, but from my limited suburban TT collection, here is the secret
code (NOTE - The codes did change over time as noted by the code for
Morristown and the Boonton Line) :

DL&W 1960 - Morristown trains - single blue light

EL 1966/67/Feb 68 - Morristown trains - single blue light

EL Feb 68 - Grove Street to South Orange - single yellow light

EL Feb 68 - Maplewood to Morristown - single blue light

EL Feb 68 - Denville/Dover - double red & single white OR single blue light

EL Feb 68 - Great Notch - Mt. Lakes (Boonton Line) - single red light

EL Feb 68 - Kingsland/Lyndhurst/Rutherford - double white lights

EL - Feb 68 - Passaic/Clifton/Delawanna - double white lights

EL Apr 68 - Grove Street to Morristown - amber & blue

EL Apr 68 - Denville/Dover - double red & single white OR amber & blue

EL Apr 68 - Gladstone - green light

EL Apr 68 - Great Notch - Mt. Lakes (Boonton Line) - one white & two red
lights
