These two timetables I have, from April 1958 and 1959, say "Train
designation lights at track gates, Hoboken Terminal. Erie Railroad Trains
will be indicated by Two Lights of the same Color, one above the other.
Colors will be
Two blue (one above the other) for Northern Branch trains
Two white (one above the other) for Main Line and Newark Branch trains
Two red (one above the other) for Greenwood Lake Division trains"

Not being an Erie man, it looks to me as though they forgot the Bergen
County Line. The Greenwood Lake timetable doesn't even show two blues for
the Northern Branch.

In an E mail conversation with somebody on the list the other day, I said I
didn't know where Essex Fells is. Looking at this Greenwood Lake schedule,
I do now. The Caldwell Branch ran from Great Notch to Essex Fells.
