Big news, gang. Restored Erie bay window caboose C330 is coming to Tri-State to join the great collection of cabooses in Whippany, NJ, on the Morristown & Erie Railway. Thanks to the help and generosity of a new member, two short line railroads, a Class 1 railroad, and a collection of railroaders and railroad managers, C330 could be on the move as early as 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, Friday. The C330 is currently on the Three Bridges interchange track. There are written instructions for it to be on the hind end of the NS train to Allentown. It will come east to Washington, New Jersey, on the hind end one day next week when H-02 will take it to M&E's Lake Junction interchange in Wharton. M&E will pick it up from there. We'll post news of moves as we learn of them.

It's not often that we get to see a museum caboose on the hind ends of main line freight trains, and this one will be crossing the Delaware twice in coming week. The Washington Secondary is 10 mph track, so following the caboose could be a lot of fun.

Please, everyone, if you can get pictures of the C330 on the road, please share them.

Thanks again to all who helped and contributed.

Mark Krisanda purchased and restored the caboose over the past few years, and he did a terrific job. In the Tri-State Chapter NRHS family, it will join Tri-State's other restored cabooses, DL&W 896, L&NE 580 and Raritan River No.10.

The attached contemporary photos are from Mark Krisanda's collection, the vintage from Paul Tup's archives.

Thanks again to all who contributed.
