Joshua,

I assume you are referring to the DL&W baggage cars. I have two brass
Railworks DL&W baggage cars and the trucks that came with the cars are
beautifully detailed, but don't roll well at all and short out. I replaced
them with Walthers Pullman 8-Foot 4-Wheel Trucks, #933-1077. The roll well
and look good. One thing is the opening for the mounting screw which is
quite large. I use a washer that just fits into the opening to reduce the
size of the opening for a conventional screw attachment.

Attached is a photo of the result with the baggage car and a comparison of
the Walthers truck with the brass Railworks trucks that came with the
various versions of the Boonton cars which is a similar truck design. The
difference is the metal strap running from the underneath of the journal to
the end of the truck which you could simulate with a bit of strip brass or
styrene.

Hello Folks:

I need two pairs of trucks for my HO scale Bethlehem Car Works baggage car
kits- which ones would be appropriate?

Thank you!

Regards,

Joshua
