Howdy, gang,

Just a quick note to take roll call for this weekend. We're planning to work Saturday through Tuesday. Our goal is to finish the major painting by the end of work Tuesday. Can anyone make it Monday - Tuesday? We have takers for Saturday and Sunday, but more are welcome. We'll generate another note tomorrow night outlining each day's work once we get a good idea of the turnout. This is it, gang, we're in the home stretch.

Good news is that our painter Tony Traglia is okay and feeling better than he has in years. And he's able and willing to work and very much looking forward to striping the 663.

Remember, it's all business in Scranton post-Convention -- work boots, name tags, eye and ear protection, and we can't wander around the facility. I'll have some blank name tags for drop-ins, but I'd prefer to have them made in advance.

Meanwhile, some eye candy.

See you in Scranton ....Mike Del Vecchio

The DL&W was gone less than two months when this December 1960 view in Jersey City from Matt Herson was lensed. Notice the stripe through the chicken wire isn't as sharp as it through the sheet metal.

Below from Ken Von Steuben in 1954, a brace of freight Fs are heading west. With the F3 B-unit's priority moving up the ladder, this is pretty much what our set will look like in service at Steamtown.
