The USRA 2-8-2 doesn't represent anything DL&W, aside from being a steam
engine.
It can be used to represent the L&H USRA style 2-8-2,s with a few
modifications. Or none, with just "L&HR" on the tender, but better with a doghouse
on the tender. I had a PFM one that I bought about 50 years ago at the
hobby shop on Speedwell Ave--I did just those two mods and it looked right to
me!. Plus, it ran well.
Long gone!

You can, with some work make a decent representation of a 1200, from a BLI
USRA Heavy 2-8-2. The advantage of using the BLI as a basis, you are
mostly working with plastic. Needs boiler work, the classic DL&W two-single air
pumps, new cab, footboard pilot, sloped sides on the tender, etc, etc. Not
perfect, but you don't need a lifetime to do it, which for me is somewhat
of a consideration. A photo is attached. Plus, these engines run very well,
and with the later versions, sound even better.--I have two and they are
used in each op session--several years now.
I did see the new Bachman DL&W tower at the convention--it looks pretty
nice, the Rep told us 2015 for an availability time, which isn't very long in
the grand continuum of time, although if you want it now you're in
trouble!. I have several of the concrete towers on the railroad now, but that
doesn't mean I wouldn't buy one! They also had a nice model of the LV Lehighton
tower.
