I think the photos Dr. B is referring to is the one I've attached, at Decatur, IN, taken by Joe DeMike. Also attached is a gaggle
of N&W power at Port Jervis and TC-1 coming over the bridge at Mill Rift, both by Gil Ford. Lastly is a shot of a pair of N&W SD45s
rolling east through Waldwick, NJ by Paul Carleton.

The photo Dr. B remembers on SFE-100 is in the Bob Pennisi book, "The Northeast Rail Scene, Vol. 4: EL" on page 41. It's shown at
Shohola, PA.

Technically, they were CB&Q SD45s in the green "hockey stick" livery. The shot was taken in June 1970 and they are brand-spanking
new. I'm guessing they happened to arrive at Port and were quickly snagged to do a Maybrook turn.

For the record, I liked the Dereco book - Artie's commentary is great, and I was very happy to see his slides see the light of day.
I also never knew that CNJ, B&M and RDG were originally meant to be part of Dereco. My only real gripe is the "filler" material (the
inclusion of CNJ, B&M and RDG images, as well as a two-page spread of an N&W J, is tangentially related to Dereco at best). But the
rest of the book is pretty much heavy on the EL and has some very nice imagery.
