NYO&W and NYS&W tracks. The D&H is on the other side of the river in
Olyphant. The DL&W had rights on the NYS&W Winton Br to get to Storrs and
at this location (put in an X in honor of Mr. Bunnell) they are co-located
with the O&W. Note the NYS&W Winton Br is listed as Erie on the attached
period map because at that time they owned the NYS&W.

The anchor is from (the aircraft carrier) U.S.S. Wasp. As the story goes,
the original (sailing ship) Wasp was commanded by Cpt. Johnston Blakely in
the war of 1812. Since he is the namesake of the Borough of Blakely, and
the aircraft carrier named after his original ship was being scrapped, and
it was the bicentennial, well somehow it made sense to get an anchor.

Ok, So these are O&W tracks not D&H. Behind the photographer would be the
huge anchor at the corner of W. Lackawanna and Main St? My old favorite
land mark for going to my cousins house in Peckville. Why is Mr Bunnell up
here? Did the Lackawanna have trackage rights over this section of the O&W
to get to Stores Breaker?
