If it's important, I can confirm that B0783 is at what the locals call the White Rock Cut just south of Cranberry Lake. I took a little trip this morning and compared the site with a paper print of the image. The rocks along the edge of the cut are still the same as in the photo. I find that amazing given 100 years of erosion, but it's true.

A before and after is darn near impossible because of 40 years of tree growth obscuring the rocks. I'm attaching the closest I could come. My photo was taken at just about noon on August 3, so you can see how much green has encroached.

Lackawanna Railroad in Northwest New Jersey book says B0783 is on the
Sussex branch in the cut south of Cranberry Lake.
