Subject: Streamtown gets negative scanner
"no121.jpg" - image/jpeg, 2128x1548 (24bit)


Steamtown has just acquired a scanner for large format negatives (up to 8 x
10) and we are beginning to scan. I have attached two images scanned at
different resolutions. While it is easier and faster to scan at low
resolution, the higher resolution gives much more detail as you zoom in.
With the high res scan you can zoom in on the people posing for the
picture, where on the low res scan, they are just blurs.

How many people do you see in this picture? Might be an interesting game
to play.

This scanner, combined with the large format scanner, will hopefully make
the information in our archives more accessible to all(See attached file:
