Subject: 1949 Chevy Half Ton Lackawanna Pick Up Truck
"1949_Half_Ton.jpg" - image/jpeg, 912x608 (24bit)

At this past weeks Lead East Show, I had for sale signs on my 1949 Chevy
five window 1/2 ton. The truck is about 99% stock, and of course has the custom
painted Lackawanna Magnetic signs with black fenders. Thus this authentic
mariner blue truck can be a RR truck or if desired just a plain truck with in
seconds.

I have learned over the years that for every 10 of these type tucks you see
9 are supped up hot rods or at least have a big 350 engine put in them.
This truck is still 6 volts, and has an original Chevy 216 engine. Last year
2 K worth of new radials and rebuilt lever action shocks were added to the
truck. I also have the old split rim truck tires for any one who wants to
be REALLY authentic. When purchased I hand undercoated the entire truck with
Por 15, which for any one that's into restoration or rust proofing knows, it
doesn't get any better than that. I have all the original owners manuals,
dozens of Chevy truck catalogs, and most all receipts over the past 10-14 years
etc, etc.

The truck has always been a big hit at cruise nights, and shows and can be a
lot fun for those with time to take care of it.

I have at least one serious individual coming back out to NJ to see it again
in a week. He is not a railfan!
Of course my first choice would be to sell it to a responsible Lackawanna
Railfan, that intends to keep it stock, but either way the truck will
eventually get sold. I am stating this here on the EL list with some CC to others,
but of course would ask all those SERIOUSLY interested to contact me off
list. Asking price is a firm $12,600.00 at this time.

Attached are some photos, that I hope go through. Shiloh is not for sale
at any price.
