BH-2 spots two loaded centerbeams on the team track located off the
Cincinnatus. The branch continues to curve sharply to the right. The
reason it curves so sharply is because the line was originally connected to
the LV line, the right of way which follows the utility poles on left hand
side of the picture. After DL&W bought the branch, the installed a
connector to the SY line. When EL abandoned the branch, they removed all
but the last mile. A industrial park was envisioned, but nothing ever came
of it. Encased in weeds, the remnants remained until the track from the
main to the team track was rebuilt with all new ties. Later an asphalt
company, located on right of way beyond what EL left in place, was able to
get rail service. So the remainder of what was left in place was rebuilt,
and an additional mile or so constructed, largely on the original right of
way.
