"001.jpg" - image/jpeg, 3295x2106 (24bit)

I dug into my postcard collection and came up with eight views of East Orange. The first is of the Park Avenue Bridge over the Montclair Branch (east of Ampere), the next three are of Grove Street Station, the next three of Brick Church, and the last is of the Brick Church (sorry that it's sideways). I do have cards of Ampere, Orange, and Roseville...

All are from 1906-1909 except the last, which is from 1912.

Have fun going to Googlemaps to see which buildings are still there!
My understanding is that the area was called Brick Church because most churches built at that time were either wood or stone; brick was unusual. Gary R. Kazin

The "Brick Church" (still there and still very prominent as viewed from the station)

It's on the corner of Main and Prospect.
