About two weeks ago I made a donation to the Steamtown Archives that I
thought I would share with all of you. It was two very larger books that
someone probably in the Lackawanna's Public Relations Dept had kept for
about 42 years. The two books contained a proof or master to what I
believe to be every advertisement the Lackawanna ever made. Most were to
newspapers, or magazines, but there were many others as well. Most are
marked as to where and when the advertisement appeared.
The older book was in poor shape, especially the first several pages which
started at about 1919. The second book which continued on from the early
1940s was in decent shape. The last entries go right to the end, as they
are from Sept 1960.

Steamtown has proven to be safe and very worth wild depository for
material, and I trust that under Pat McKnight's continued guidance the
proper archiving of these two books will happen. I have attached several
photo's of the two books and a few random pages from both. I hope that in
the not to distant future this material will be available to all to peruse,
and maybe help in ones research of a particular Lackawanna topic.
