On a trip last week to visit my Mom for her 90th birthday, I went to Lebanon, Ohio and rode the Lebanon, Mason & Montgomery Railroad. They do an hour-long trip over five miles of track along Turtle Creek. Speed is not a goal, obviously.

They have four former Lackawanna low roof MU trailers! The seats are original! Windows still can fall without warning, so they have prop sticks to hold them open.


The train is powered by NS GP48-3 5805 and includes an open gondola car.

The only mishap of the trip: I got stung by a wasp on my left hand, and it's still somewhat swollen.
