look what i found..absolutely amazing information...check out that link....also, incidentally i just finished reading "Pascack Valley Line", by Wilson Jones....recommended by Joey B. (Joey trains)...fascinating Book...i do have several questions that someone may Know the answer to.....for example It mentions Piermont Branch Stops in "Dater Cr."?, Tallman, Monsey Heights, and Monsey.....does anyone have any idea where these were? i used to live off Monsey Heights Road, and New county in Monsey , Years Ago, and saw no evidence of any such thing. also i scanned and attached as image 168, A Page From That Book, with a Map, showing the New City Branch crossing Middletown Rd, in Nanuet......i walked up and down Middletown Rd and found no evidence of any such thing whatsoever...in fact i don't even see any potential space where a track could go anywhere east of Middletown rd...its full of buildings, etc.....anyone have any insight on this or any of this, id much appreciate it, and id take a walk with anyone in that area if they have any evidence that's seeable..i apologize for only focusing on Rockland County but thats where i grew up and most of my interest is there, although i want To Learn about other areas too.
also what was the sense in not keeping Suffern and Spring Valley connected? logistically, having the 2 mile or so connection, can help any number of logistic scenarios...When did this connection ever stop being "connected"? any insight would be appreciated
