With regard to the last train on the Lackawanna Cut Off, are we talking a
revenue move or the train pulling up the rails? I visited the Cut Off a few
times when the rails were still in but service terminated. Two views are
attached. On Oct 22, 1983 I stopped at Blairstown and we can see that the
rails have not seen a train for a while. Then on June 6, 1984, I went to
Hainesburg Viaduct and found three young men with a speeder preparing to
take a ride. They invited me along and we took a ride to Blairstown and
back. Might I claim to be the last passenger on the Cut Off?

So unless my slides are terribly mis-dated, I have two instances where the
last revenue train must have been prior to October 5, 1984. Can we clarify
what that date signifies for the Cut Off? If I had not parted with my Block
Lines, I could probably find out for myself.
