"Slateford_3.jpg" - image/jpeg, 2000x1210 (24bit)

All, as some of you may have heard my father, Henry Vitz, passed away last month at the age of 78. He was a railfan most of his life and has amassed a collection of railroad stuff over the years. He has had these several photos in his collection for over 40 years that I know of. His grandfather was also a railfan around the turn of the last century. We think the attached photos may have come from him. They are approximately 3" by 5-1/2" in size and each is stamped with the number "772" on the back and someone wrote in pencil, "circa 1911"

They are of Slateford Junction in PA. During the construction of the Cutoff. One view shows Slateford Junction tower under construction with one yet to be cut in track for the Cutoff.

The other views are from the old main just east of the Delaware River Bridge.

I figured since we have not been blessed with anything from Pat McKnight for several days due to the NPS shutdown, maybe it would be nice to share these. I have also uploaded them to my Railroad Picture Archives page.
