Thank list member Matt Klemchalk for some "additional data" re: Paterson
Junction on the Erie! Attached are some scanned maps from his collection and
his commentary...

Paul-

Here are some scans of the Paterson Jct. Val Map, circa 1958 or so. (I
don't want to risk breaking out the big 1940 set that you saw, but if
discussions get heated enoguh, I may have to.)

Please post to the list site. Also, here are two more scans. Note the track
coming off to the bottom of the scan just east of Hazel St. in pat2. This
track goes nowhere, but the grading shown suggests that it did at one time
connect with the Erie in the vicinity of the Parkway bridge over the old
Erie ROW. FYI, the original bridge taking the DL&W over the Erie is still
there. They just dumped a large quantity of fill near it to bring the
Newark Branch up to the DL&W elevation. I don't know if it's filled, but
both ends are accessible. It's right across the street from the big AGL
office building visible from the Parkway.
