Listers:

As promised, here are the pics I took today of the CWR train operated by WNYP near Belvidere, NY on the former EL / Erie. Again, I apologize for the relatively poor quality, as they were taken with the camera on (in) my cell phone and probably through a filthy lens. Next time I remember my real one, with a legit telephoto.

Pic #5 is a WNYP dump car with rip rap (or maybe debris collected from some recent MOW activity) at the stub end track in Belvidere on County Rt. 20 (old NYS 408). In it's lading is what appears to be a section of an old Erie concrete mile post. Just west of there on Cty. Rt. 20, there is a mile post on the row with just the top foot or 18" or so, and two reinforcing rods (or bars, I guess their called) holding it up. It's obviously been replace by a more modern version with a metal stake and sign.

Pics #6, 8 & 9: Here's three views of all the ballast that's accumulated at the Belvidere site. 6 & 8 are two views of the large ballast pile just to the right of the air dump car. 9 is ballast dumped just before the row between the dump car and the large pile.

Pic #7: Erie concrete phone booth, just west of the MOW marshalling site. I may have posted a pic of this before and maybe on multiple times.

Pic. #11: Ties on side of roadbed at Lyon Rd. crossing, just east of earlier pics.

Pic. #13: CWR train under and just east of NYS Rt. 19 overpass. It is on a bridge that spans a small creek that also runs under Rt. 19. I was trying to get the reporting marks off one of them to determine ownership. However, as you see, my phone cam was not up to the task. I think it was TRR or something like it.

Pic. #31: This is about 1/2 through the train as I can tell. There are two men on the top of the rack helping the rail along in a way I'm not quite sure how from my vantage point.

Pic. #32: Same as #31, but a couple of seconds later. I was hoping to get a better image of the men working and what they were doing, but my vantage point and the surrounding vegetation interfered.

Pic. #33: Here's probably the best picture of a portion of two cars. Notice the 5 layers to the racks (the top on is empty). To elaborate on the previous list thread of the former EL cars, the racks have rollers on them to facilitate loading and unloading.

Pic. #34: Same view and perspective as #33 and it gives a view of the rr bridge over the creek.

Pic. #39: Rail left at a crossing on the north side of Belmont, right by the former Borden's creamery.

I also had a few pictures of C430 #431 smoking it up west of the Rt. 19 bridge, but the sun conspired to make it an unidentifiable combination of glare, shadows or haze, so I omitted them.

Regards,

Chris
