That is correct. The sale of the line took place in 1955, with title being
conveyed early in 1956. The junction (and tower) sat about 1.5 miles south
of the Starrucca Viaduct.

Correct...the actual start of the Jefferson Division. Here's a shot (from
that same photo series) of JA Tower on the Erie main, looking west
(attached image). The distance between JN and JA was approximately 1.8
miles.
