Hi Walt,

I checked a DL&W list of Officers, Agents, Stations, Equipment, Facilities, Etc. issued April 1st, 1911, that I have. It does show a 60 ft. turntable and a 63 ft. Wood Engine House in Nicholson. I've scanned the page for you.

Regards,

Vinnie

Bill,
Just a 'heads up' to let u know I got the 2 passes a few days ago. It appears that Sammy trimmed his in order to fit it into his wallet......a possible violation involving defacing Company property. Ha Ha.
This article on the use of helpers at Scranton is interesting.Of course when I was called as fireman on helpers they were the 1800 class FMs & Big Baldwins. I will repeat I learned more from u guys on the list than I ever picked up on the job. BUUTT - one of the oldhead steam men advised me (as we crossed Nicholson viaduct) that there was a roundhouse IN Nicholson on the old line. He said it was right where the motel is/was in the middle of the village on the west side of the viaduct. Anybody else have info on this??? I took a couple fotos from the cab of the village, but all traces were gone (if indeed it existed).
Anybody know???
