"PM_Tower_model-1st_Floor.jpg" - image/jpeg, 1024x768 (24bit)

Paul, Tom and all,

The first version , kit #10, was offered by Crow River Products in Pawtucet,
RI and was cast in Hydrocal. The second version was designed and
manufactured by Crow River as well, but was sold by Hobby Gallery in
Walcott, CT and was essentially the same kit, but the main structure walls
were cast in resin. Neither kit is listed any longer on the Crow River
website. The Hobby Gallery is a model railroad shop and I haven't checked
to see if they still offer the model. Both versions were a model of the
Port Morris tower design, a smaller design which was somewhat unique among
the DL&W towers. The new N-Scale Architect version was more common along
the DL&W.

I have both versions, but built the resin version primarily because I felt
it would be easier to paint. I have attached (posted) a few photos of my
completed Port Morris tower model which I added the interior details which
are not included in the kit(s), but based on photos and drawings from Bob
Bahrs ARHS article.

>I have the Hobby Gallery kit, which is very nice. I think someone later
released the same kit with resin (not plaster) walls - am I mistaken on
that?

>I really think someone should work on a modular kit that would allow you to
do all the DL&W concrete tower variations - Bob Bahrs covered these quite
well in his ARHS articles.
