As was being talked about, the yard at Great Notch did get some use, here's the Silver Lake Drill with C-172 setting off a tank car coming west, and also an eastbound getting in the clear for the commuter train that would shove east at 4:45 pm after the station stop at Great Notch returing from Lincoln Park after going west as train 1041. It was not an X train, I think it went east as train 1040? The west bound 1001 has EL (DL&W) engineer Dominic Franchino waving from the cab, he had senority at the time on the EL (1975), a great Lackawanna man.
I threw in a sunset shot too, not bad for a cheap Kodak 126 film camera, I was only 12 or 13 at the time.
