A few more samples, again sorry for the poor quality, but here goes. The eastbound at the Long Hill Road bridge could be BC-2 or SF-100, both seemed to show up in afternoon and struggle uphill in Run 8, sanders on and wheel slips a plenty! Some times pushers if they needed a shove. The former Lackawanna (EL) caboose photo goes with the photo of SD-45 801 (Former D&H) I previously posted passing the track car shanty at Great Notch, so here's the hind end with Tri-Levels, going to Jersey City? (The EL List has answered so many questions over the years). Next is EL's very 1st SD-45 3601 rolling west at Great Notch on a Fall day in 1975, I am standing in the yard, and again this was a late afternoon TC-1 (?) with empty Hi-Cubes from the Ford Mahwah plant. SDP-45 3666 and an Sd-45 on a westbound passing Great Notch station and you can see the two well used "Railfan benches" just ahead of the lead unit. Wish I had saved one of them and the huge pot belly
stove from the waiting room inside! That's Joe and Tommy's Hi-Rail maintainer truck parked for the night at the station.Oh, and how many HO modelers add the plastic water jug on the nose of their SDP-45's? There always seemed to be one perched there! :)
The last two are SDP-45 3644 and a second unit west at MP-18 Lindsey Road in Little Falls, I recall this was a VERY dangerous blind crossing I am standing at with flashers only, no gates! And this freight is rolling off the grade westbound though Cedar Grove with tonnage pushing pushing on the knuckle from behind, guessing its CS-9 with a normal consist 40' and 50' boxcars and a tank car for Boonton head out (?). Then I sent SD-45 3604 on a freight passing an EL crane working at Great Notch station, I saw lots of work trains, with the shift to the "Lackawanna" side EL was constantly trying to maintain and upgrade the former NY&GL to sustain the onslaught of freights pounding the the rails of the former Erie branchline.

As I type the Norfolk Southern HO-2 is working a customer spotting a boxcar on the Totowa Spur, a ghost of the Totowa Roustabout on the radio....

Todd ~
