For further clarification...

1400.jpg is a typical Erie passenger GP7. Note the air tanks next to the
fuel tank, as well as the solid side sill.

1405.jpg is a typical DL&W passenger GP7. Note the diagonal grab on the
short hood end and large fuel tank, as well as the horizontal access slots
in the side sill.

1236.jpg is a typical Erie non-dynamic freight GP7. Note the fuel tank -
it's not even visible! The 800 gallon tank ran lengthwise under the center
of the locomotive.

1233.jpg is a handy view :) of a freight GP7 flipped over (this one was
involved in the Lake Jct. wreck in June of 1974, and yes, it was rebuilt).
This clearly shows the VERY tiny fuel tank in the middle of the frame. What
a pain in the arse this is to model! :(

1260.jpg is a typical Erie freight GP9. Compare with the other freight GP7
to see the louver differences. Also note the GP9 has a grab iron underneath
its right numberboard on the long hood end. I believe Athearn will replicate
this on their model - it's another odd EL-specific item.

Hope this helps clarify a bit...
