Mark,

My name is Jeffrey Sawyer.

I am an officer of a local historical society in Harford County Maryland
involved in an emergency effort to preserve the old B & O station
building
in Aberdeen Maryland (picture attached in jpeg format). The small
station
has charm, was central to the economic and cultural life of the
community
for three generations, and was designed by a noted Philadelphia
architect,
who may have also been a civil war hero.

We have the state and local preservation community pretty well
mobilized,
but we don't have the railroad preservation community involved, and we
need
to do this ASAP.

We believe we have demolition stayed for at least a couple of weeks, but
the
demolition contractor, under contract from CSX corp., has his crane on
site--and we're worried that something could happen right after the
holiday.

Thanks for any assistance and advice.
