Subject: Rio, Wisconsin Milwaukee Road depot demolished
"033W_Rio.jpg" - image/jpeg, 800x600 (24bit)

My sources in Wisconsin tell me that the Rio depot was demolished on
Monday Dec 15.
Rio was a stop for Milwaukee Road local trains 55 and 58 prior to
Amtrak. The Hiawathas
breezed by, as does Amtrak's Empire Builder. Rio is between Columbus and
Portage on the CP ex-Milwaukee Road main line. See attached photo taken
by Craig Bluschke in 1973.
