The Wilseyville station was shared by the DL&W and LV as was the next station north,White Church.
The LV timetable spelled it with one "L" and the station sign is spelled the same in one photo in
The Gangly Country Cousin LV-Auburn Div.
If you will notice the map,cited previously,also shows Cortland Jct; the LV called this Caroline Jct.
One thing I have found over the years is ,on occasion the railroad has put up a sign with a misspelling
or prints a TT with the same error and there never is a change made. Rural highway depts. are guilty
of this practice to this day.
There is also the possibility that the a map maker has purposely placed errors in obscure places
to prove their copyright.
Another one is Cohocton and Conhocton, still used both ways.
BTW,Leicester is pronounced Lester;at least within 50 miles of there.
